(More customer reviews)I had struggled with the aching pain of varicose veins for many years. Most women don't get them until either pregnant or elderly (or so I'd been told), but for me they started as a teenager. Doctors were not able to help.
CircuLegs have helped; they have significantly reduced the aching pain from varicose veins. Not a complete cure, but helpful.
Several years ago, I read in a mainstream magazine (I forget which), that for varicose veins, there was some actual scientific studies that showed some benefit from two herbs -- Horse Chestnut and Butcher's Broom. I thought it worth a try, and looked for those two herbs.
These capsules contain the herbs Horse Chestnut, and Butcher's Broom, blended with other herbs, including Centella Asiatica.
My previous experience with other types of herbs -- for remedying other problems -- had left me skeptical of exaggerated and unsubstantiated claims for the benefits of herbs. However, CircuLegs capsules have improved my quality of life.
Please note recommendations that these herbs not be taken for a few days immediately before surgery, because there might be potentially more bleeding or less clotting. I am not a doctor nor a nurse; just passing on what they had told me. And of course I discuss with my physician all herbs taken.
Addendum, April 2011: I recently learned that Potassium is an important nutrient for leg comfort. Many people don't get enough -- maybe not eating enough foods with potassium (e.g. bananas) on a daily basis. Higher dose potassium supplement pills can be prescribed by a doctor if a blood test shows extra-low levels of potassium.

This is probably a marketing strategy to get customers to not doubt that the oil is 100% krill instead of a mixture of krill oil and fish oil as many competitors try to pass off. (Source Naturals employs the same strategy)
Now to the product itself:
it is NKO brand and I trust the canadians that manufactured it
The oil does not have the rancid smell or taste that you might encounter when buying from other companies trying to sell expired products.
no fish burps from use
the oil itself is advertised as NKO brand krill oil
the capsule material is advertised as made from gelatin powder derived from tilapia fish
my wish for them to use another source of gelatin other than from fish is simply because the whole reason I'm buying krill oil instead of fish oil(besides the obvious phospholipid krill oil vs triglyceride fish oil and the high antioxidant effect) is because krill is lower on the food chain and thus theoretically have less potential pollutants in their body.
But one can't complain too much, at least they aren't using corn starch for the capsules :)

(More customer reviews)My Doctor was all set to prescribe a statin to lower my cholesterol. I said no way, first let me try and drop some weight and see if that helps. This was a very good incentive to drop 25 pounds, which is what I did. My diagnostic numbers were much better at my next three month check up. The Doc said OK come back in 6 months, let's see if you can keep the weight off. I just had my 6 months check up and the Doc said, Oh I see you gained 7 pounds, I expect those numbers will be getting worse again. But when he called the following day guess what...SURPRISE my numbers were even better than 6 months ago! I have only been taking the Cardio~Juvenate for the last 3 months but it has already had an impact, my HDL (the good part of cholesterol) is better than before and it is the best it has ever been! And my LDL (the bad part cholesterol) is going lower, as is my Triglycerides! Plus I feel great and my blood pressure is right where it should be! This product is fantastic and I plan on using it for a long, long, time!

1) Has to be in liquid or lozenges form for maximum absorption.
2) The higher the concentration, the better for my money and health.
3) The more its resveratrol sources, the better its quality is.
4) Tasty or at least not repulsively / medicinal taste.
I like the number of 4Resveratrol sources and its concentration when compared to other liquid / lozenges R~ products, hence I settled for this one. Needless to say, it met all my aforementioned criteria too. But as with all high potency liquid supplements, they're way more perishable than pills/capsules. For this item, it's recommended lifespan after opening (and in the fridge) is about 30 days. This is the trade-off.

I read about the horse chestnut tree seed extract in the health section of NYTimes and with doctor's okay (he had never heard of it) I tried and within a week, the swelling greatly diminished. I have continued to take these capsules - 1200 mg over two days -and my legs are skinny! The only caveat: if I take a capsule with breakfast, I am nauseous for about half-to-one hour, so I just take them at night. I have told probably six physicians about this and none knew of it, but each carefully noted it in writing.

Some time ago I had decided to overhaul my life style with some exercise, weight loss, and a natural supplement to go along with my prescription medication, in hopes of possibly easing my dependency on the prescription meds. So far that hasn't happened. I still need to take my regular meds along with this supplement. But one thing I have noticed is that my blood pressure is better since taking this. I really do think this combination of ingredients is doing something positive, and working well with my prescription meds..
Blood pressure supplements are numerous, and easy to find online, as well as here on Amazon. It can be pretty daunting to read through all the ingredients and various reviews and try to make a decision as to what is really the most effective. I have tried many of them myself over the years. All I can tell you is that once you start getting into any research as far as natural blood pressure supplements, you start seeing the same ingredients showing up a lot. Hawthorn berry extract, juniper, garlic bulb, valerian, and horsetail leaf just to name a few of the most popular ones that pop up often. For me, it became a simple choice of finding the most comprehensive supplements that had not only the most of these ingredients, but a reasonable dosage of them as well. I cannot tell you that HCN is the very best at what it contains, but it certainly is very close to the top as far as providing one their moneys worth in regards to both the variety of ingredients, and a decent size dosage of them as well. I found that brand had a rather pronounced unpleasant fishy odor to it. It didn't give me fish burps or any ill effects when taking it, but I was concerned about the off odor of the pills. It smelled like bad fish.
The next time I purchased krill oil from Amazon I purchased the NOW brand of Neptune Krill oil.The price was good, and this time there was NO fishy odor to the pills. Since the NOW brand is also priced well, and has no fishy odor, I will purchase the NOW brand next time too.
