(More customer reviews)I read about St. John's Wort from a herbal medical book, and bought some for my son. He is in college and is intense on getting good grades. With the difficult study load, his anxiety became worse. He tried a couple of the antidepressant/anti anxiety pills, but they had too many side effects including drowsiness, irritability and fatigue. So, I suggested he try this product. It was recommended in herbal literature I read to use the tea instead of capsule form and that is what I got.
He drinks the tea while studying which also seems to help his concentration. Now a couple of his friends drink it. They all say that it works. I tried it just to see how it affected my son. I don't suffer from anxiety but am hyper. I think it does have a calming affect without annoying side effects. I would recommend this but start out with just one cup until you see how it will affect you.

(More customer reviews)I always had a tremendous amount of breastmilk with my first two children, and had no problems supplying them with enough until I was ready to wean. I also started out with a great milk supply this time, however my third little guy started sleeping through the night at three weeks of age.He would sleep from 8 to 10 hour stretches, which was great for me, but apparently my milk decreased to dramatically, even the milk that was produced during his waking hours was not enough for him, as he would cry, needing more. Everyone told me to just start supplementing with formula, but I was just not ready, so just make sure that you have some frozen breastmilk saved for future use, like for when you want to wean, or for emergencies, this way you will not need to offer him formula. My baby is now 3 months old, I tried drinking milkmaid tea three times a day with no results. I used blessed thistle in conjunction with fenugreek three times a day, and in less than 3 days my milk supply increased noticeably. I tried pumping and breastfeding every 1-2 hours and waking in the night to pump and feed, but my milk did not increase as much or as quickly as when I added these two supplements to the regimen. I am now able to satisfy my little one and store extra milk for the future. I am so excited!!!!!

(More customer reviews)I bought this type of kava to help me with sleep.While it does relax you it tastes like acidic dirt!I love bitter things and am majoritively a vegetarian (I love fish) so it shouldn't be that bad.Whether in powdered form or by extract this stuff makes me want to vomit!I do continue to take it as it gives a good high, but a note to take only the root of the kava plant as that has no harmful effects on it.The negative effects people were having were from using a mixture of the leaves and stems of the plant which is unhealthy and is what marketers used in their elixers when they started selling it to the western world (Europe and America).The Tahitians and other South Pacific islanders do not use the leaves or stems.I got this information from KonaKavaFarm.com.

I even take it when someone I am around is sick and so far I either don't get sick at all or my sick time is much shorter than other people. I also tastes amazing which is rare with extracts. This product should always be on hand for a sick child or adult. I would add kid-e-mins to your pantry as well since it contains so many good things for strengthening your immune system. Taking organic fresh juice (carrot, apple, wheat grass) also speeds up recovery for me.

(More customer reviews)I had struggled with the aching pain of varicose veins for many years. Most women don't get them until either pregnant or elderly (or so I'd been told), but for me they started as a teenager. Doctors were not able to help.
CircuLegs have helped; they have significantly reduced the aching pain from varicose veins. Not a complete cure, but helpful.
Several years ago, I read in a mainstream magazine (I forget which), that for varicose veins, there was some actual scientific studies that showed some benefit from two herbs -- Horse Chestnut and Butcher's Broom. I thought it worth a try, and looked for those two herbs.
These capsules contain the herbs Horse Chestnut, and Butcher's Broom, blended with other herbs, including Centella Asiatica.
My previous experience with other types of herbs -- for remedying other problems -- had left me skeptical of exaggerated and unsubstantiated claims for the benefits of herbs. However, CircuLegs capsules have improved my quality of life.
Please note recommendations that these herbs not be taken for a few days immediately before surgery, because there might be potentially more bleeding or less clotting. I am not a doctor nor a nurse; just passing on what they had told me. And of course I discuss with my physician all herbs taken.
Addendum, April 2011: I recently learned that Potassium is an important nutrient for leg comfort. Many people don't get enough -- maybe not eating enough foods with potassium (e.g. bananas) on a daily basis. Higher dose potassium supplement pills can be prescribed by a doctor if a blood test shows extra-low levels of potassium.

It does say to take with food, and I recommend doing so to avoid an odd "full" sort of feeling. Other than that, I have never experienced a side effect. It usually starts to work within twenty minutes.

(More customer reviews)I loooooooooove this tea! It is simply delicious; I have shared it with many friends, and it's always a hit. Anyone who loves ginger will love it. The Tulsi adds a wonderful depth to the flavour that seems to mix very well with the ginger (I have also ordered the Organic India Tulsi Jasmine tea and was very disappointed; the Tulsi tasted kind of odd... I got used to it, but it was far from 'delicious'.) If you like sweet things, add honey. One word of caution: it takes a little trial and error to get the brewing length right for this tea; if you steep it too long it can (like any ginger tea, in fact) develop an unpleasant bitter taste.

(More customer reviews)I've had Heberden's nodes arthritis that started 13 years ago. It causes sore, enlarged and deformed end knuckles on your fingers. It makes working with your hands difficult and there is no treatment except standard pain medications and surgery in severe cases. My parents, particularly my mom, had it - and her finger tips were very twisted and lumpen.
Over the years, I seemed to have some results using pectin, nettle leaf and Glisodin to sometime soothe flare-ups. I recently noticed that the pain and swelling was amazingly down for over a week, and suspected it was from using a new tea that included Cat's Claw. I then tried the vitaminshoppe brand of Cat;s Claw capsules and have gotten amazing relief like I never had before. It really is a miracle and the "lumps" and deformity that were only getting worse are starting to reverse!
It seems that the common denominator for my problem was the inflammatory marker cytokine called Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (TNF-A). Certain foods, like coffee, spirulina or eucalyptus can trigger TNF-A. Nettles, tumeric and Glidsodin can decrease many inflammatory markers, including TNF-A - but the Cat's Claw is found to specifically decrease it alone and seems the most effective so far.

I have noticed that my urine is a bright yellow color so i have been drinking more water. The tablets have a smell to them which you do not notice after the first time. They are easy to take with water so the size is not a problem. Overall, an ok experience.
