(More customer reviews)I'm not a diabetic, or even pre-diabetic, but you don't have to be to feel better and be healthier by improving your blood sugar levels. Diabetes, as we have all heard in the news, is becoming a huge issue for adults and even children; it's the coming "epidemic." It's THE major health disaster on the near horizon for millions. Heeding this news, I picked up a copy of "Reversing Diabetes" by Julian Whitaker, MD. Well, Doctor Whitaker wrote one heck of an eye-opening book! It's extemely clear to me now why diabetes will be a HUGE health disaster for this country.
Motivated by all I'd learned, it wasn't too hard to change out chips & dips & sodas for walnuts, unsweetend dark chocolate bits and Glaceau's XXX Vitaminwater! I was feeling better and lost weight naturally. Then, 2 days after I added Jarrow's Glucose Optimizer tablets to my after meals vitamins, I felt a big improvement. It was really noticeable. They recommend 4 tablets per day, but I've been taking 2 after each meal. I've felt great. I don't go up, down, and then have the hunger cravings from the sugar fluxuations. And, it's made it much easier for me to eat & snack on healthier stuff because I'm not craving chips or sodas or something loaded with high fructose corn syrup!!
The product has many of the most effective natural ingredients for improving blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity that were mentioned in Dr. Whitakers' book, "Reversing Diabetes." (This specific product formula is not mentioned in her book.) I re-checked some of the ingredients with my copy of "Prescription for Herbal Healing" by Phyllis A Balch, CNC. They're in agreement. The ingredients include things like bitter mellon, gymnema, green tea, billberry, fenugreek, banaba extract and more. Saves me a bundle not having to buy them individually (as I was planning to do!)
This is an excellent product. High blood glucose levels can result in diabetes, kidney damage, heart damage, and so many, many other serious health issues--things that literally tear up organs and blood vessels.
I've used Jarrow vitamins & formulas for over 20 years specifically because of the quality of their products. I'm so impressed with how much better I feel, I heartily recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their health, especially for people with diabetes in their family, or who already has diabetes, or is pre-diabetic. If you're diabetic or pre-diabetic, I think this product should probably be on your "must have" list. Of course, always tell your doctor BEFORE you add a health supplement that can lower blood sugar!
There may be other products like Jarrow's out there, but I'll stay with Jarrow's quality to make sure I'm not wasting my money.
