(More customer reviews)The product (if it is the same exact one) has Flaxseed meal, defatted chia bran, orange pulp and peel, gum arabic and inulin-FOS. No wheat, no gluten, no soybeans, no dairy, no egg, no fish/shellfish, no peanuts/tree nuts.
The products works quickly and effectively. It calls for two (2) tablespoons. I took barely ONE tablespoon and it worked within a few hours. The Flaxseed meal releases oils, the defatted chia bran is a fairly aggressive fiber, but the orange pulp and peel, full of natural anti-oxidants and bioflavoids is a key ingredient. Orange pulp is a digestive stimulant and encourages and increased the soft muscle contractions of the intestines, thus encouraging the forward movement of the bowel content. Orange pulp and peel is used in chinese medicine for the same thing - increasing digestion among other things.
The taste is slightly strong (slightly bitter due to the orange peel) and it is a lot easier to get down than psyllium. It doesn't stick to your throat.

Shopped around some different retail stores and amazon saved us about $40 on the two kits.
Here is a little hint. Never make the 2nd phase of shakes with water only. They are so tough to stomach. Make sure to mix them with plain berry nector or sweet and fresh fruit.

(More customer reviews)I've tried a few different fiber supplements, but the Fiber-tastic is my favorite by far. It's flavor is "pleasant", at least as far as fiber is concerned. I don't particularly like it mixed just with water-- instead, I mix mine with plain Greek yogurt (as well as chocolate protein powder and raspberries). It definitely would go nicely in a fruit smoothy as well. It also has a healthy dose of fiber-- 2g soluble and 2g insoluble per scoop.

Not only does it include both soluble and insoluble fiber, it also includes beneficial probiotic bacteria and on top of that tastes great. Each scoop of Super Seed contains 7g of fiber from whole foods like flax seed, chia seed and legumes. On top of that, since it's a whole food fiber, it also adds nutrition to whatever you mix it with in the form of protein, vitamins, minerals and beneficial fats from the flax seeds(omega 3).
The best part about this is that it doesn't contain Psyllium which is the 'in' fiber these days but a lot of people find that it's too harsh on the stomach and can cause constipation easily if not taken with a lot of fluids. Super Seed is much gentler than your average fiber supplement and tastes great with anything. My favorite way to use it is to add half a scoop to Lifeway's plain kefir. It tastes great and is very healthy for me too. As with any fiber supplement, make sure to drink 6-10 glasses of water a day.

(More customer reviews)Ok, I am all for colon cleansing. I try to get colonics once a month, pocketbook permitting. Alas, this time of year, money is tight, so at a friend's suggestion, I bought the Super Cleanse. Day One, I took the 4 pills morning and night. Nothing happened. Day 2, I took the morning dose (4 pills) By noon time, I was running to the bathroom every 10 minutes or so for a few hours. NOT fun. I was at work. I stopped the dosing and started investigating Senna. By most accounts, that were not advertising a product, recommended doses seemed to be FAR under what Super Colon Cleanse recommends. Several site said Senna was toxic in high doses. Seems that anything over 20-40mgs is considered overdosing. Super Colon Cleanse is 576mg and then 3 times a day! So... yeah, it may
be natural. So are a lot of herbs that are considered toxic. Btw... a product that my naturalpath prescribes does contain some senna, mixed in with other herbs and I have never had a reaction to it. My guess is that the 576mgs
is pretty intense, expecially for someone that has a colon that is more or less, in good shape, due to proper diet
and regular colonics. Think I will pass on this product...... and stick to a healthier alternative. Proper food combining, pro-biotics, and the occasional food enzymes and regular colonics.
