My mom thinks I might be overdosing on it. It fills me up like a weight loss product so I don't eat as much. I strongly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)Fast and simple: This is the best fiber supplement I have tried. It dissolves completely in either cold or hot drinks. There is no taste. It works!!!
In Depth: I am basically a meat eater with little, vegetable, fiber or fruit intake. I supplement vitamins and other things as best I can. However, fiber supplements never worked out for me. I hate it when they don't dissolve completely and I encounter solids in my drinks. I find this to be a big 'turn-off'. I am also sensitive to fiber. Too little and nothing happened. Too much and I'd get cramps, bowel irritation and even bleeding. Benefiber is the first fiber supplement that worked without irritating my system. I add it to my coffee, tea or cold drinks. It dissolves completely and it's tasteless. These are all important things to me.
Taking a fiber supplement, like many things, depends on whether you use it or not. Due to the many problems encountered with other supplements, I stopped using them rather quickly. Being as I didn't encounter above mentioned problems, after initially trying Benefiber, I have continued to use benefiber with great results. I did experiment to determine how much benefiber to take each day. Being sensitive to fiber, I don't take as much as Benefiber recommends. However, I found I had much greater 'leeway' before having problems and I found that for me Benefiber works quite well at the lower recommended amount that I use each day.

(More customer reviews)I got this because I wanted to add fiber to the family's diet. I started mixing it in everthing I made that was wet. No one could tell it was there.
It's not gritty like Metamucil and doesn't stick to the glass like Metamucil. It's also flavorless, unlike Metamucil.
The bottle says not to mix it with fizzy things like soda. I'm guessing it flattens it out, but i haven't tried it. I did try it with a dressing made with mayonaise and the mayo seemed to get more runny so it did not come out quite as good.
I usually have it in my Crystal Light. It's pretty good that way, mostly because I can't tell it's there.
I don't really want it in water, though I've done that. It might be psychological, but I don't like the thought of having this tasteless stuff in water, so I down it quickly. Honestly, I don't taste it, but I don't want anything in my water unless it flavors it, like Metamucil does.
One thing I'd like them to improve is the design of the opening of the container. It would be nice if I could fit a spoon in it to scoop out the fiber, rather than having to pour it out.

I have been using this product for one month with no stomach issues. If your looking for a product to work as a laxative this is not the product you should choose. This product is something you can take everyday to keep you regular and the acai is an excellent antioxidant with loads of fiber. I will definitely buy this again.

(More customer reviews)Most of us don't get nearly enough fiber in our diet (usually from too much processed food and not enough fruits and vegetables), so we an extra push to help us make our push. Metamucil is a great helper when it comes to "working things out". These capsules are flavorless, easy to swallow, and convenient to store and carry. You can take a bottle to the office, or a few capsules with you in your pocket to take at meals, for example. As listed on the label, each "serving" is 6 capsules and gives you 11% (3g) of your recommended daily intake of fiber and adds 10 calories.
As good as Metamucil is, I do have a few beefs. I really don't like all the chemical additives. It is advertised as 100% pure psyllium husk, but it's not a 100% natural product. It contains polysorbate 80 (a preservative), and 3 FD&C dyes, a bit much for something that comes out the same color in the end. Polysorbate 80 is used to extend shelf-life and prolong storage, but the colorants serve no purpose, cosmetic or otherwise.
Secondly, the price is not very good. Lesser known brands/generics like Now Foods Psyllium Husk 500mg, 500 Capsules cost a lot less. At almost a third of the price ($.03/capsule), that's a huge savings. There shouldn't be any difference in effectiveness since the main ingredient is ground up seed husks from the psyllium plant (Plantago ovata, related to the common plantain weed that grows in many people's gardens). Fiber is fiber. It is indigestible to humans regardless of what company it comes from, so you're not getting any extra benefit out of paying more for one brand versus another. You're literally flushing money down the toilet.

(More customer reviews)I have been suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) for more than ten years. I have never been good about getting enough fiber in my diet, so my doctor suggested that I try a fiber supplement. I chose Fiber Choice sugar free because it looked like a good deal I had heard good things about it. It came in the mail two days ago and I tried it right away. I only took two tablets to start, since I didn't want to overload my system. I quickly started having horrible cramps, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and nausea. I was confused because I usually consume more than 10 grams of fiber on an average day, so it shouldn't have upset my digestion so much. Then, after a day and a half of misery, I had an epiphany; the tablets were sugar free and sweetened with sorbitol (which is a known IBS trigger). Considering all of the sweeteners they could have used, sorbitol just seems like a very poor choice on the manufacturer's part. Also, the amount of sorbitol in the tablets is excessive (it is the second ingredient and before corn starch). The tablets were very tasty, but I would not recommend the sugar free variety to anyone.

I had no problems with bloating. I just make sure to drink a glass of water after my two gummies. It's really hard to believe that a fiber product could taste this good. If you like gummie candy, you will like this sugar-free product. You get your fiber plus additional vitamins thrown in. I mainly got these for the fiber benefit instead of the vitamins, as I take liquid Reviva for my vitamin needs. I wasn't consistent in taking other fiber products, but these taste so good I look forward to taking them. I've gone through one bottle and will continue to order.
