(More customer reviews)I read about St. John's Wort from a herbal medical book, and bought some for my son. He is in college and is intense on getting good grades. With the difficult study load, his anxiety became worse. He tried a couple of the antidepressant/anti anxiety pills, but they had too many side effects including drowsiness, irritability and fatigue. So, I suggested he try this product. It was recommended in herbal literature I read to use the tea instead of capsule form and that is what I got.
He drinks the tea while studying which also seems to help his concentration. Now a couple of his friends drink it. They all say that it works. I tried it just to see how it affected my son. I don't suffer from anxiety but am hyper. I think it does have a calming affect without annoying side effects. I would recommend this but start out with just one cup until you see how it will affect you.

Tazo's China Green Tips Green Tea is a slightly stronger green tea than Tazo's Zen, and I liked that it doesn't contain Tazo's omnipresent "natural flavors" that almost all of their other teas contain, which to me is not an advantage. I like a natural, real taste with real ingredients sans vague "natural flavors" and sans flavorings, sans essences, etc. China Green Tips delivers this in a cleaner, purer way than Tazo's other teas. I liked this green tea!
The ingredients in China Green Tips are simply spring-harvested green teas from China. It contains caffeine.
Tazo is an interesting company that makes only super premium teas. They are socially responsible, based in Portland, and have the motto, "The Reincarnation of Tea". Tazo is owned by Starbucks. Their web site is fun and quirky, with a Zen-type focus, definitely worth checking out. It is unclear, though, from their web site, how many of their ingredients are organic or kosher, and they do use some "natural flavors" in their teas--this wording seems a little vague and unnecessary for a super premium tea. China Green Tips has none of these "natural flavors" and it shows in the quality and cleanliness of the tea experience.
On the paper tea packet, Tazo writes, "a traditional Chinese green tea with a delicate fresh taste and a light green liquor." This is the perfect way to describe this tea! On their web site, Tazo describes the flavor profile of China Green Tips as "grassy, vegetative, sweet, ricey". Tazo describes the aroma as "vegetative, popcorn".
I would rate this tea, and Tazo in general, as very good---better than premium teas like Stash or Celestial Seasonings---but not as good as Numi or Aspen. Still, this tea is excellent, so I'm breaking my tradition with Tazo teas and giving it five stars. If you enjoy super premium teas, and are stuck with Tazo for some reason, choose China Green Tips and you will be quite satisfied. I can't honestly say that about any other Tazo tea.

I was always hungry and at bedtime I couldn't help it and ended up with a plate of ice cream... no good. I decided to give this tea a try and I stopped feeling hungry all the time. The taste is great. I have lost ten pounds in almost two months. I walked al least an hour per day, I only have fruits and tea in the mornings, salad and protein for lunch and fresh smoothies without sugar for dinner. If I feel hungy I have a fruit or raw vegetable. I put chopped garlic on my salads, it gets rid of waste too. I dont diet on weekends but my stomach is smaller so I get full with less and less food. I am buying this for my sister It has been awesome for me. thanks!

Before taking this stuff I had managed to get myself up to 3000 mg a day of niacin with only minimal amount of irritation due to flush. I then found I needed to back off the niacin as it has a negative effect on sugar control, but even taking a lower dose of niacin I found that in combination with this preparation of ALA I was having a lot more irritation. Since removing it from my daily intake all is back to normal. Will have to find an alternative.

Numi Tea's Golden Chai Spiced Assam Black Tea is a premium Numi tea, both certified organic and kosher. The ingredients are fair trade certified organic Assam black tea, organic cinnamon, organic Chinese ginger, organic green cardamom, and organic Turkish anise. There is nothing artificial in this or in any Numi tea.
On the box, the manufacturer writes: "Throughout India, chai stalls are a meeting place for provocative tea and conversation. From its homeland in China, chai has journeyed as chai, thé, and tea, recreating itself in every land. Numi's golden brewed, organic Chai fuses rich cultures in a complex and hearty Assam black tea. Indian cinnamon and mild green cardamom evoke a warm balance with the vitality of Chinese ginger. The peaked, sweet aroma of Turkish anise exhilarates memories. Reminisce in aged tradition with an inspiring cup of Golden Chai."
Although this is a "chai", note that it contains no sweeteners...I prefer this, and the anise gives a certain type of mild sweetness, but commercial chais often have sugar added, so be prepared for a wonderful no-calorie indulgence that is beautifully flavored but not "sweet" in the same way that sugar is. Golden Chai is also caffeinated; if you want a caffeine-free chai, try Numi Tea's Ruby Chai Spiced Rooibos Herbal Teasan instead.
If you like Numi teas, get it---you won't be sorry. If you are new to Numi but love chai, this will probably be the best you've ever had.

1. It is not mixed with massive ammounts of stimulants like caffeine, guarana or ephedrine. That means speciffically that it won't affect my moods or my sleep. Also, does not contain chromium, which can interfere with insulin. No side effects, period!
2. It does help maintain healthy weight. This is not a rapid weight loss
product, but I would say you can loose about seven pounds per month. Rapid weight loss is not healthy!
3. It is also a mild appetite suppressant so it helps me eat more sensibly.
Just keep in mind that using any diet product should not be used as an excuse or reason to not exercise or eat a balanced diet!!!

EGCG is one of a group of catechins (a special sub-category of polyphenols) derived from green tea.
EGCG stands for "epigallocatechin gallate" and has been extensively studied for its anti-cancer properties. According to researchers at the University of Kansas, EGCG's antioxidant power is about 100 times stronger than vitamin C and 25 times stronger than vitamin E in protecting DNA from the kind of free radical damage thought to increase the risk of cancer.
Personally, I've been taking it in the hopes of neutralizing any free radical damage I may be experiencing as the result of having to have 3 medically necessary CT scans last year during my adventures with a ruptured appendix.
Other benefits include its thermogenic effect (raises the metabolism, burning more calories) and some research points to its ability to help enhance insulin activity (possibly helping with weight loss and lowering blood glucose levels). Enhancing insulin activity MAY help some who are pre-diabetic stave off diabetes. I urge you to research this online.
EGCG will also enhance energy levels and endurance. For me, the ideal times to take EGCG are at breakfast and again at my "tea time" of 3 PM. I find it makes exercise easier and recovery faster (and online research points to its effectiveness at reducing oxidative stress, as mentioned earlier; oxidative stress can actually be increased by exercise, especially running).
I can vouch for the quality of this supplement and Amazon's Subscribe & Save price is excellent. Just one bit of advice: start this supplement slowly (one a day to start) and be sure to take it with a meal and drink PLENTY OF WATER throughout the day. Taking on an empty stomach might make you nauseous. The antioxidant power of EGCG makes it one of my favorite supplements (I also highly recommend curcumin); Source Naturals is a winner!

I can't say that these pills helped me lose weight, but I don't think they hurt. I think that they do help me curb my appetite. When I take the pills I feel less hungry and notice that I eat smaller portions. As for losing actual weight, I don't know. If anything I feel that when taken regularly these pills have helped me maintain my weight vs. picking up pounds. I will keep taking them because they are reasonable in price.
