It's still a good amount per capsule, but it's something to consider if you're aiming for a certain quota.

(More customer reviews)Excellent fish oil supplement. High levels of both EPA and DHA, no PCBs or heavy metals, and no more fish burps than any other fish oil. Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio is a big problem for virtually everyone in our country, and possibly the entire world, and fish oil is really the only practical way to try to get our balance back to where it should be. EVERYONE should be taking fish oil supplements for their health, and this one has the oils you should be getting and none of the toxins you should avoid.

These do come in glass bottles, but I've ordered TwinLab supplements from Amazon many, many times and I've never had a problem with the bottles breaking. The bottles are always wrapped in bubble wrap, and I know Amazon has always been wonderful dealing with problems and complaints when the unexpected does happen.

(More customer reviews)I think the general public is under the assumption (as was I) that if you're taking fish oil capsules, you're getting the benefit of essential fatty acids (EFA). Only after listening to programs such as Doctor Oz did I find out that it's the content of fish oil capsules that varies dramatically from product to product. He said the most beneficial EFA is DHA and that we should be aiming to ingest at least 600-1,000 mg. of DHA on a daily basis either through food or supplements. Because I don't like salmon, I did an extensive search on the Internet for a product that contained the highest level of DHA in one capsule. These Mega-DHA capsules from Nature's Way have 500 mg. DHA per capsule, along with 200 mg. EPA and 10 IU of Vitamin E. Two capsules a day is the recommended dose. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is because they do result in fishy burps. I wish they contained lemon oil to mask this unpleasant after-taste as another fish oil supplement does that I used to take.
I found this product to be the least expensive through Amazon. And because I'm receiving this order on an automatic basis, the shipping is free!

Red Yeast Rice is essentially the same ingredient in Lipitor and others. Consequently, my doctor tells me that the liver values should be checked routinely. It is not as dangerous as the pharmaceuticals, as I understand it. See more here: [**] Also do your own research and talk to a progressive doctor.
This combination is so wonderful because it not only contains Red Yeast Rice, but also CoQ10, which helps protect the heart and a nice dose of omega oils, which are extremely good for you for many reasons, including heart function.
This is a great combination and 180 caps for $30.00 is a good price.
Wish it were available directly from Amazon and not a third-party vendor. I ordered something else from Red Tag, and it was not as expected and I had to return it.
Swanson has a good price on the 90 caps. My doc recommended that I start with just one cap per day.
Good luck. Do your research to confirm that this is a great combination. I applaud NOW products for putting this together!

The taste is great (for fish oil that is). The citrus flavor off sets the fishy taste pretty well. And while you can still taste a bit of fishy, that's to be expected cause that is what it is. :-)
I think someone else commented about this as well but...about a week after I started taking this, my dry eyes weren't so bad any more.
And being that this oil is from mercury free fish, it's okay to take while pregnant. And I'm pregnant so I was concerned about this.
It doesn't make the refridgerator stick either.
The bottle has an easy, no mess top...like the ketchup bottles.
I would recommend this over ANY other fisk oil out there...even over flax, which some people argue is better. However, if you're pregnant, you don't want to be taking flax oil because it can cause an estrogen imbalance.
