(More customer reviews)Because Amazon had a glitch the day I ordered the Maitake, I went directly to All Star Health's website and got the same price and same shipping cost. It took two days for the mushroom caps to go cross-country (from CA to VA). If I had ordered thru Amazon, it would have probably taken a week. As for the mushroom caps, I purchased them to boost my immune system given the H1N1 pandemic. As a pharmacist, I know first hand these capsules work, both from personal experience and personal observation. For maxiumum effect, the dose should actually be based on body weight. I've experienced no side effects.

They made her sicker, so I pulled her off of them, and a dear friend sent me a bottle of this. I started the Maitake D and within 2 days I could see a difference. She felt better, acted better, ate better. I was told she'd be dead by July. By keeping her on the Maitake D (12 drops/day), she had a good 6 more months and was peacefully put down on Dec 27, 2007.

(More customer reviews)I've been taking this vitamin since about 2000...when I run out and stop taking the vitamin, the change in my energy levels and general feeling of well being is extremely noticeable. I finally got my husband to start taking these a few years ago (he did not believe in vitamin supplements) and he is a convert. We make sure not to run out anymore. I do not think I could live my life without them....between working full-time, raising two kids, working out...I need as much energy as I can get and these really help. I am glad to see other reviewers feel the same. Studies have come out that say vitamins don't do much but I don't think this particular vitamin was included...because anyone who has used regularly will tell you it DOES make a difference. Btw, if taking the pill first thing in the morning bothers your tummy, try taking at night after dinner.

Omega-3 700 mg Softgels By Solgar - 120 Count Review

(More customer reviews)Based on the other reviewer, let's look at the famous clinical studies done on Magnesium.
To save money, many vitamin companies started using Magnesium Oxide in their formulas. Heck, it was the same thing, right? Much cheaper, and everyone was happy. That was until the studies in clinical trials showed that almost no (that's nil, notta, siltch) Magnesium Oxide was absorbed into the body. Only Magnesium Citrate was actually absorbed in high amounts. But, to this day, if you look at the labels of Calcium/Magnesium supplements, you'll notice that the cheaper brands all contain the Oxide - more expensive brands contain the Citrate.
What's this say? If you want cheaper vitamins, chances are you will be getting supplements that will do nothing for you, or in some cases actually harm you. (The "Vitamin E from Photo Labs byproducts" controversy comes to mind here - still being used in major brand supplements btw).
It's a shame when someone just wants to post something so that they can bring their review status up a bit at the expense of a great product, which in my past experience, comes from a great company with the highest potency ingredients, and which sells the Citrate version of my Calcium/Magnesium supplements by the way.
What's that tell you about the vitamin companies who actually do the research? I came here to buy EPA Fish Oil. And when I saw this, I knew it was going to be good.
His review is not a review and should be deleted by Amazon. In fact, if Amazon reads this, they will know that reviews are for the products themselves. If you want to talk about other things such as prices, they have forums here for that purpose. But that wouldn't count towards a 'review post' and put someone in the Top 100 here, would it?
According to the other reviewer, you could save oh... maybe 3 bucks buying a cheaper product. Magnesium Oxide anyone?
