(More customer reviews)After reading the reviews I decided to try the product to regulate my cycle. I didn't really want to get pregnant from this... but we did, sometime in the first 8 weeks. I only took 1 a day.
I've had trouble with my cycles since college (about 10 years ago), and 2 years ago took Cholmid in order to conceive. 2 months ago I had to take Provera again (it cleans out the lining but doesn't cause ovulation) because I hadn't had a period in 3 months and was spotting a lot. Then I was looking for something herbal to help regulate my period so I wouldn't have to take a drug every few months.
The Vitex seemed to regulate my hormones well. While I didn't get a full period the first month I was on it, just spotting, I am pregnant. We're not sure when in that 8 weeks it occurred, but something happened with this herb that helped my body to actually ovulate.

(More customer reviews)I tried this cream...gave up after about a week. Tried it again...it seemed to make my hot flashes WORSE. I was flashing about every 20-40 minutes all day and all night. It was horrible. I gave up on the menopause cream again after about a week. Then, I decided that maybe the third time was the charm. I tried it, stuck with it and after about 3 weeks the hot flashes stopped-cold. It's been over a month now and I've not had one hot flash. I've had a couple of warm flushes, but nothing and I mean NOTHING like the misery I was suffering before. I was ready to try HRT, anything. I didn't want to do do that, but I was getting desperate. I am so thankful that this works. Oh, I'd tried black cohosh, vitamin E, soy, hesperidin- some of it worked for a week or so then stopped. I tried clonidine too-it worked for a while but then seemed to stop. I still take a low dose of clonidine since I also have slight hypertension. Not sure what the clonidine is doing for my hot flashes but my BP is great, and with the menopause cream-I'm not flashing. I will keep using the combination for as long as it works.

I have tried numerous herbal remedies and nothing helped. This is a Great Company every tube I have purchased has been the same. US herbal remedies are not regulated. If your herbs are not working as they should try buying one packaged in England,
Wild yam gel takes about 4 to 5 days to work completely and stops my hot flashes and mood swings for $20 a month. Wild Yam per my Doctor is very close to estrogen that is why it works.
The tablets never worked for me

I have had a history of extremely bad cramps (they even were causing me to vomit) and heavy periods, the cause being hormonal imbalance. I was completely unable to function and was miserable and in a lot of pain for two-three days every month. I started on Brevail when my friend recommended it and have noticed dramatic improvement. I now rarely even need to take aleve or ibuprofen for cramping! I was able to tell a difference in the first few months and now my cycle has completely normalized and my period doesn't hardly slow me down! I couldn't recommend Brevail more highly!

I've tried more expensive and well-known brands and have not had the success I have had with this one. One of the more expensive brands made me break out in a rash. So I'm not buying this because it is cheaper; it's just better! I sleep better and feel calmer.

(More customer reviews)I have used this product for a year now. If you like lavender, the smell is great. If you prefer unscented, the company also makes that. The price offered on Amazon is quite competitive -- so I'm going to order it from them from now on. I like the fact that the NOW Foods brand has no parabens of any kind in it. I also tried the one offered online (from [...]) but it is 5 times as expensive; plus my breasts hurt when I used it. And finally, my credit card got compromised because of some breach in security with the server that the womhoo company used. Therefore, I switched back to the NOW Foods brand and am happy with it. I consider it a kind of "candy" for my body. And I trust the Amazon.com credit card security measures. I've never had a problem with them.

(More customer reviews)I've been using this product since about 2000 to combat menopause symptoms (night sweats, poor sleeping, foggy thinking, skin troubles, etc.). It did noticeably improve those symptoms to a tolerable level, but didn't erase them. I tried seven other brands, and found I liked this one best. It goes on smooth, is easily absorbed, doesn't leave any greasy residue, no scent; and I think it delivers throughout the day from the liposomes- keeping me on a more even keel. My sensitive skin didn't react to it- no redness, bumps or other skin irritation I've experienced with others.
In 2006, I felt my symptoms were going downhill; my OB-Gyn prescribed a bio-identical estrogen-progesterone combination. The 'hypoallergenic' base the pharmacy was using caused skin irritation and bumps that took a long time to go away. I now have the pharmacy use the KAL as the base, and my skin (and myself!) are back to normal.
I've used the other KAL progesterone creams and liked them also.

(More customer reviews)I had some problems when trying to get off the birth control pill. I ended up having some CRAZY symptoms (pain, severe acne, etc) and thought that I had endometriosis. I went back on the pill and avoided trying to stop it again for years.
One day, fed up with synthetic hormones and wanting to get back to normal, I started researching Vitex and other herbs that support female hormonal balance. I couldn't find any information on which is the best formula and how much I should be taking, so I went to Whole Foods and was recommended this product. The women that worked in the supplements department suggested it, and told me that they both LOVE IT - so I decided to try a pack.
I am generally a big fan of Vitex. After having some BAD BAD experiences with Plan B - including 2 ovarian cysts (one that burst!) - I used the herb to shrink the cyst and it worked extremely well, unlike anything else.
Curious about Oona, which has some Black Cohosh as well as Vitex, I called the company and got some interesting info mailed to me. They reference a LOT of research, and their product seems very safe and had great reviews online.
I used this product for about 6 months, and successfully got off birth control with a lot less trouble than I had last time. I am still dealing with the aftermath, but it could have been a lot worse.
Not only did this help me ease off the pill, but it also alleviated my PMS symptoms AND cramps! I am going back on it today, actually, because being off is not as nice.
Unfortunately, as with most herbal supplements, it takes a month or two (or three, depending on your body) to feel its effects - so be patient! Also, it's very important to take it every day.
I hope that someday, information about natural products (including FDA regulation) will be mainstream, but until then - I would recommend this as a gentle, non-invasive way to get back into balance.
