I'm glad I settled on this specific brand. The taste is great and I use the coconut oil for a lot of different things including cooking, skin care, hair care (different jars are stashed in specific areas depending on use).

(More customer reviews)I am African American with relaxed hair, but am trying to grow out to it's natural state and still continue to straighten my hair with a flat iron. This product is so smooth when you rub it in your hands and when I put on my hair after I use my flat iron...my hair looks so shiny and my hair has been loving it. This jar will last for many years, because all you need is a small tiny amount on your hair---a little goes a long way.
The reason why I tried this, is because I know Indians use coconut oil on thier hair and thier hair always looks so amazing.
I am a loyal buyer for life...when I do happen to run out :)

(More customer reviews)I drink this oil in my morning protein shake every morning, and use it for as much cooking as I can. It fries and sautees extremely well; popcorn made with coconut oil is delicious!
It retains very little coconut flavor, which is good for traditional cooking. Its texture is good when solid, and when liquid it's a very faint amber color with a slight coconut scent.
It seems to keep well; I've had a 5-gallon container that I use one gallon at a time, and it's kept well for six months so far.
This is probably the best value in terms of price and taste.

Perhaps if a coconut oil has been refined and adulterated and hydrogenated it will be unhealthy, but raw, virgin coconut oil is one of the best things in the world for you. I use this product not only in my diet but for skin and health care as well. Think about it, how could a fruit that grows from the earth for our benefit be unhealthy? I ordered this just to see how it tasted because the price was so good, if it didn't taste right, I'd just use it on my skin. It is the BEST tasting oil I've tried. Tropical Traditions, Coconut Oil Supreme pale in comparison. This is truly a coconut oil you could eat right out of the jar.
