Vitamin D is activated in the skin by exposure to sunlight. When you don't get enough sun and don't consume any vitamin D fortified food and/or drink, you can become deficient of this vital nutrient. Supplementing with vitamin D is especially recommended during the winter months when sun exposure is low. During the summer, you can go without this supplement as long as you get about 15 minutes of sun exposure each day without using sunscreen.
If you sleep all day and live at night, this product is for you.
