(More customer reviews)I have been taking MSM for more than 20 years now. It is the one nutritional supplement I wouldn't consider running out of. I first started taking it in the 90's. I called the original manufacturer of it (Bill Rich..of Rich's MSM) and spoke to him at length about this miracle supplement. He was involved in a car accident and suffered severe burns and extensive scarring. A veterinarian suggested he try MSM for relief. He was so impressed with this supplement's effects on the scarring that he began to sell it. (try MSM lotions too..they are great for anti-aging and scarring) He is the nicest man and sent me tapes and even my first order before I had the money to pay for it! This MSM supplement is basically a natural nutrient that comes down in rain. (at least it USED TO before all the pollution we have now). It made our plants grow. If you want to see what MSM does, feed some to a plant of yours..you'll be amazed. This amazing supplement has multiple functions. I had pollen allergies so severe I couldn't leave the house in the spring or summer. I had to use an air purifier and sit inside looking out at the beautiful day. Picnics, parks and outside activities were out of the question. I got weekly cortisone shots just to go to work free from allergy symptoms. (insane I know..but I was desperate and didn't know a lot of alternative health info back then!) In addition I was severely allergic to cats. Now I have no problem with them..none. I also suffered from rheumatoid arthritis joint pain and fatigue.
I have bought NOW brand MSM many times over the years and find the quality to be very good. I used to only buy Rich's MSM, but then couldn't find it for many years, so I looked around. I feel most MSM brands are good and basically I look for the lowest price when I'm shopping for it. One thing to remember is that MSM is more effective when combined with Vitamin C. To get your money's worth and the full benefits, always take Vitamin C with your MSM. If cost is a real factor for you, get the MSM powder and mix it with your orange juice (or citrus juice)..it saves you a lot of money and MSM is flavorless, so it won't bother you in the juice..just a little hard to stir in. - MSM is known to "neutralize" detrimental toxins, so it may reduce negative effects of medications you are taking, and make the medication more effective at the same time.
- Some sites also sell MSM eye drops..very helpful on my dog's cataracts and on any eye infections.
