Derma-e Skin Care Tea Tree & E Antiseptic Creme Review

Derma-e Skin Care Tea Tree and E Antiseptic Creme
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If regular Tea Tree oil is too strong for your sensitive skin, you might enjoy using it in a more subtle form, like in this skin crème with vitamin E.
There are many uses for this product and the ingredients are: Purified Water, Tea Tree Oil, Safflower oil, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Tocopherly Acetate (Vitamin E-3,000 I.U.), Glycerin, Allantoin, Panthenol, TEA, Aloe Vera Powder, Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Horesetail Extract, Citricidal, Phenoxyethanol.
Tea Tree oil is an antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic ingredient. You can use this cream all over your entire body or just use it for problem areas, blemishes, sunburn, skin dryness, rashes, dermatitis or even on babies for diaper rash.
Since this product also contains avocado oil, you will also get the benefit of vitamins A and D. This oil is easily absorbed by the skin and is quite nourishing.
I used this crème after a day in the sun and my skin felt very healed, smooth and soft. The Aloe Vera in this product is great for sunburn or skin irritations.

Derma-e Skin Care Pycnogenol Facial Cleanser Fragrance Free Review

Derma-e Skin Care Pycnogenol Facial Cleanser Fragrance Free
Average Reviews:

I use this cleanser in the morning, because it just doesn't have enough oomph to get all my makeup off at night. (For a product that does and that smells yummy, see the Vanilla Mousse Cleanser from Derma-e.) Besides, in the morning, I prefer to put as little scent on my skin as possible to avoid reactions. Don't get me wrong; this is a good cleanser. It's just not as good at cleansing as I would like it to be, but it is better than nearly everything else I've tried - including soap and water. If you don't wear makeup or are fragrant sensitive, this is the best cleanser available as far as I'm concerned, and sometimes I feel like I've tried every unscented product on the market. Definitely purchase the toner to go with this. It will get rid of the rest of the makeup, and it's very soothing.

Really like this face cream - I've been using this for over 3 years. It has a delicate orange scent and feels good on, very light and perfect moisture. I prefer to buy this on amazon over my local health food store because it seems to be fresher. Hope they keep this product available, I like it very much.

derma e Alpha Lipoic C-Ester Foaming Facial Cleanser, 6-Ounce Bottle Review

derma e Alpha Lipoic C-Ester Foaming Facial Cleanser, 6-Ounce Bottle
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Having worked in the cosmetic industry with cosmetic scientists I'm a bit more aware of things that should be avoided, labeling issues, making something appear natural etc. I bought this on the advice of a friend who told me it had the organic certification on the back. So let's get into what's in here.
First, using the product I noticed a massive amount of foam. Foam is only found in heavy sulfates which are extremely harsh and not in European products where there is more awareness of ingredients and side effects. (European and U.S. GOOD shampoos have little foam but they are far superior due to their lack of stripping sulfates.) However, in the U.S. we incorrectly equate foaming with "clean" in shampoos and other cleaning products so for years it was actually hard to find products WITHOUT sulfates--because they are cheap for companies to create and, unfortunately, they sell products because, marketing-wise the U.S. feels they are "working better" when they see the foam. Now that we've become a bit more schooled as consumers you'll see labels that have removed them proudly proclaiming "SULFATE-FREE!" Sulfates strip everything...they are used in commercial floor cleaners. I've not been to a hairdresser once who didn't go crazy over my hair's health...I wash it daily but I use no sulfates in my shampoos so it shines like mad and the color never is stripped out. So here's the issue. I KNEW it had sulfates in it the minute I used it; I am familiar enough with them to know-- yet my own label did not list any sulfates yet it only said "paraben free" and not "sulfate free" which was a tip off . Now whether you got that label or the on on Amazon this is important: I get on here to write a review based upon some other things and I see on this page the ingredient list DOES have a strong sulfate listed on the Amazon page. So what gives? Did they "forget" to put it on some new labels now that we've become more aware and people won't buy products with sulfates? I already knew it was there and was upset by it and now I'm more upset to find there are two different labels for this product and one is not mentioning what I know is in there and what this product page shows is in there--but I'll get back to the problem with this ingredient in a spell...here's the big kicker:
Secondly, you will see the organic certification at the bottom but when I looked at the ingredients I found lots of very un-natural chemicals. Then I realized there is a tiny asterik after 2 ingredients. Then, just before the big organic certification stamp at the bottom I see a tiny asterik. Oh yes, the old asterik farce...this means those two ingredients have the organic certification. A small bit of extracts. This product does NOT have organic certification. And it can't...it's not natural by any means in spite of some natural ingredients (and not much of them by the amount of sulfate obviously used. Companies can add one drop of an extract or item to a huge batch and still list it in the ingredients, we don't know. That's common too unfortunately so I look at what's high up on the label. And that's the kicker.)
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is synthetic as well, certainly not natural nor organic and it is another surfactant of medium strength
BUT here is the whopper:
Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate is the main ingredient (aside from water) according to this Amazon page listing the ingredients AND the list on all other sites that sell it that I looked at (even though that fact has been removed from the bottle). The Cosmetic Ingredient Review board has found this to be irritating and stripping to skin. However, it has suggested that it can be used in items that one does not use continually and only uses briefly or it should be less than 1% of the ingredients. Now considering this is the top ingredient we know using this daily would not only be bad and stripping for your skin but also warned against by the CIR.
Now lets look at the concentration of Alpha Lipoic Acid seeing as that's in the name of the product. Notice that is comes after extracts? Very low amounts of extracts are used in products meaning there is VERY VERY VERY little of the Alpha Lipoic Acid.
You know what? I stopped looking there. That was enough for me. I'm returning it to Amazon. My lotion hasn't arrived yet and I am hoping for less shock and feeling duped when I read the label. Sometimes companies are known for a good product and go cheap on others and I will hold out judgement on their lotion and not hold the ingredients in this against their other products until I know what's in that. When I heard organic I had big hopes and I should have read the ingredients first rather than allowing them to fool me with a stamp of organic I shoulda guessed.
This is in no way shape or form organic. It has two organic ingredients in it and the asterik on the certified organic stamp shows that stamp belongs to only two things in it. I hate hate hate the practice of doing that. That right there is like a red stop sign to me of what I am about to find in it because I know they are playin' the consumer who knows not to look for the asterik.
This product is not even all-natural. The top ingredient is a surfactant. Many of the ingredients are artificial and chemical and cheap which led me to some investigative work. I went through Whole Foods knowing that they carry this brand and discovered, to my shock, that Derma E makes several levels of product. They have some all-natural ones (none are organic) and these are what they started out with. Then apparently seeing their branding as a way to dive in there and get more profit if they did a switcheroo, they then, by the looks of things, put out several chemical cheap products. These ones, such as this cleaner are forbidden at Whole Foods where they disallow the chemical additives herein. So you have a "level A" product and then a "level D" product by the same brand and some are banned from the natural stores yet shoppers trust the brand NAME and pay more for dishwasher soap they now are putting on their face when they buy it here on Amazon or in other stores that allow the cheap chemical harmful agents it contains.
Shame.
I gave it two stars because it does clean...just too harshly but it certainly will wash off EVERYTHING because of it and they don't test on animals and there are no parabens.

Derma-e Skin Care Clear Skin 1 (Problem Skin Cleanser) Review

Derma-e Skin Care Clear Skin 1 (Problem Skin Cleanser)
Average Reviews:

I had Cystic acne. Which is the worst possible acne you can have. I went to my docotr she told me use anything with tea tree oil to help clear my skin. I found Derma e. I bought it on a whim but I didn't expect it to work at all. I have tried every cleanser out there and nothing has worked. This stuff WOW I saw an improvement right away, and there aren't any harsh chemicals in it so my skin never got dried out and cracked. It always felt mositurized. I know there are other people out there just like me who think that nothing will help their skin, try this first!! You won't be sorry :)

Derma-e Skin Care Microdermabrasion Scrub Review

Derma-e Skin Care Microdermabrasion Scrub
Average Reviews:

I'm hooked ... I've ordered a Derma e Sampler a while back and had a sample of the Microdermabrasion Scrub. I was hooked after the first use and bought myself a jar. I have aging, somewhat oily, acne prone skin and this stuff keeps my skin in check. I use it once a week, very lightly and my skin immediately looks healthier and feels supersoft. This scrub is comparable to higher end scrubs that cost 3 times as much or more. The scent is very pleasant, too. Other Derma e products to try are the Antioxidant Gel, also a great product!!!!

Source Naturals Skin Eternal Cream Review

Source Naturals Skin Eternal Cream
Average Reviews:

I have been using Skin Eternal Cream for 2 or 3 years at least and I don't, I repeat, don't, use anything else on my face except for cleanser. You can use it at night and in the morning under your makeup. It has a very refreshing smell (not buttered popcorn) but a fruity smell. I really like it, as you can tell. You should notice a difference in a short time. I use it all over my face, under my eyes, on my neck, back of neck and chest. It absorbs quickly without being greasy. I got my 89 year old Mother to use it and I could see a difference in her skin. And that's the truth. Oh, and I'm 65.

Derma-e Skin Care Dmae Alpha Lipoic C-Ester Review

Derma-e Skin Care Dmae Alpha Lipoic C-Ester
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered a variety of Derma E products to try. I thought this toner was fairly gentle (faint burn feeling on my slightly sensitive skin, but definitely no Seabreeze over-stripped feeling), but I have some scent sensitivity and personally found the smell to be a bit too strong--very floral, in a "grandma scent" kind of way. It also didn't cause my face to defy gravity, despite the marketing attempt... A reasonable toner if you can tolerate the smell.
I didn't see an ingredients list in the above product description, so here's the info from the Derma E site:
Water (Aqua), Panthenol, Allantoin, Organic Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Organic Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemon Grass) Extract, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Organic Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Glycerin, Dimethyl MEA (DMAE), Thioctic (Alpha Lipoic) Acid, Ascorbyl Palmitate (C-Ester), Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Natural Fragrance.

Derma E - Dmae-Alpha Lipoic-C-Ester, 2 oz cream ( Multi-Pack) Review

Derma E - Dmae-Alpha Lipoic-C-Ester, 2 oz cream ( Multi-Pack)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I begin using this product after reading Dr. Perricone's book. I tried another with similar ingredients but it made my face break out.
I do not like to do reviews until I have used a product for a good amount of time. A couple of weeks will not cut it. I have been using this product for about a year and a half now and I believe it has made a tremendous difference in my skin. My skin used to be very blotchy and it has become more even in complexion, I require way less make up then I did when I begin using it. It doesnt feel heavy and I believe my pores look smaller. It also keeps my skin hydrated which is just an added benefit.
I will continue to use this product as I think it is going to help me age gracefully. I have problem skin and I am going to try other Derma E products as well.

I bought this product (Derma E Itch Releif) for my mother who suffers from a severe skin condition (allergy related) which causes her to have severe itching. She has tried numerous products both prescription and non-prescription to relieve this intense itching to no avail. This was the only product that gave her relief. She has already asked me to buy 2 more bottles to keep on hand so she doesn't run out!

Derma-e Skin Care Astazanthin & Pycnogenol Night Creme, Age Defying Moisturizer Review

Derma-e Skin Care Astazanthin and Pycnogenol Night Creme, Age Defying Moisturizer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a Derma e consumer, all the products I have tried so far I absolutely love. I've been using different products over the years and I think my search of the best products for my skin stops with Derma e (I'm using the Antioxidant Gel daily and the Microdermabrasion Scrub weekly).
This night creme is absolutely amazing. I've been using it for about 2 weeks and I can already see a difference in my skin. I used to get dry patches on my cheeks or around my mouth in the winter (while the T-Zone was oily)- no more dry skin and skin flakes. My skin appears firmer, my skin tone is more even, pores are getting smaller and the wrinkles are becoming softer and less noticeable - I'm curious to see what my skin will look like in another month! Anyway, definitely a creme to recommend. The scariest part was probably opening the jar for the first time - this cream is orange! (I kid you not) but has a very nice texture and it absorbs well into the skin. No orange on the pillow case. As for the scent, it reminds me of essential oils, very soothing.
