(More customer reviews)I love this product! First off, I think the name of this product Amazon Chocolate Sticks is misleading. I bought it online and didn't read the entire box and thought that these would be, well...sticks of chocolate! They are not, it is a powdered drink mix. Slightly disappointed, but not entirely.
I ordered the Amazon Chocolate drink sticks because I wanted to make sure I got enough greens/veggies/fruits in my diet, and I was hoping with the chocolate (antioxidants) added it would taste better than most "greens" supplements out there that you have to choke down because they taste so awful. Well, I can't say that it actually tastes like chocolate (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars), but it isn't too bad. I first tried it in cold water as the directions say, and it didn't mix well plus tasted kind of yucky. But the directions said you could mix it in a smoothie which prompted me to put it in my morning protein drink that I mix with milk or rice milk. It actually tasted pretty good and it mixed in much better. Just don't expect much of a "chocolate" flavor...it's not there.
But the thing that surprised me is how much better I felt! I have been going through a bout with depression and generally not feeling good, and within only 2 days of drinking this stuff I feel a night-and-day difference! I have more energy and just feel like I am getting back to being my old self! I know I don't eat enough greens, veggies and fruits and like most people I vow to eat more but it seems like it is short lived and I never get enough on a daily basis. The Amazon Chocolate sticks claim to have it all covered with all of the above included in these little single-serve packets of green powder.
I am not a big believer in the claims made by most supplements...it's very rare that I feel any definite results, and with all of the "miracle" supplements that pop up from time to time I am quite skeptical. I am anxious to pass on a few of these to a friend or two to see if they notice a difference...just to test it out. In the meantime, I will be drinking my Amazon chocolate concoction on a daily basis!
