(More customer reviews)I was led to Maca several years ago when I was experiencing chronic fatigue, and looking for a completely natural, simple supplement to try to combat it. I became very interested after reading all of the positive literature--(there's tons more on it now, too)-- and decided to try it out. I started with the powder capsules found at my local health food store (often found in Men's Health due to its positive effect on libido-- the reasons for this are interesting. Read up!).
The results were immediate! I had energy again, and not the jittery type I'd felt with caffeine heavy products. After a few weeks, I had significantly more overall stamina, and wasn't half as stressed by little things that had been getting to me when I had less energy to work through the day. Maca just seems to make me feel healthier, both in body and mind.
I began recommending this to family and friends, all of whom had positive things to say about their results.
I have since tried the powder in shakes and smoothies, and I like that very much since you have the added fiber benefit. But when I'm on-the-go, I like the ease and quickness of a few droppers of extract in a little bit of water. Not the best tasting version, but I'm so used to it, I kindof look forward to it. In a little juice, you hardly know it's there.
I recommend Maca because it is a single ingredient, natural, relatively unprocessed supplement that has too many benefits to name, but most important to me is that it gave me enduring energy with no side-effects.
