(More customer reviews)Most vitamin C tablets are dusty, white, powdery pills that are bitter on the tongue. They tend to be somewhat rough-textured and dry so they stick to one's mouth and tongue. In fact, if you experience the sticking and are too slow in making your second swallowing attempt with another gulp of liquid, the pill sometimes begins to dissolve in your mouth. Major yuck! Nasty!
These tablets have a smooth coating which eliminates the sticking as well as the bitter taste. In fact, the taste is faintly but pleasantly like an orange. The price is comparable to other vitamin C tablets.
If pill size is an issue to you, you should note these are slightly bigger than most 500 mg tablets. They're not huge, just a little bigger. Our family is ok with trading a smaller size for gaining a better taste and ease of swallowing.
