(More customer reviews)Flax seed oil comes from the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum, L.); and it is indeed very good for you. I take this to correct my HDL cholesterol level; and so far it is working for me. I take it in pill form (the softgel) but it is also available as an oil. Alternatively, you can search for flax seeds; they can be sprinkled on cereal or other foods.
While there is still no concrete scientific "proof" that this will help people with cholesterol and certain heart health issues, you may want to ask your doctor about this product to see if they recommend it for you.
Overall, flax seed oil in softgel form helps people who want to be on a "Mediterranean" type of diet with lots of fish, olive oil, whole grains, green vegetables and more. For me personally, this product has been a great supplement to a healthy diet.
