Simone and her alternatives for treatment, Marshmallow Root and Marshmallow Root tea was the thing that rang home to me. If you are allergic to Elmiron like I am, this will provide most of the same benefits in less time without all the nasty side effects (Who wants to lose patches of hair?) not I! Marshmallow root helps reline the bladder with its mucilant qualities and also helps coat the urethra so that the pain and burning becomes less with use. I take 2-4 caps per day and along with other prescription medications (Atarax and Valium (used the unconventional way)) this has been a great find.
