(More customer reviews)Beta Carotene is a precursor to vit A. The body makes as much vit A as it needs from it without the possibility of getting too much vit A.
Years ago I had a green lung infection and didn't want antibiotics. I took 6 of these NOW Beta-Carotene (25,000 IU) pills at once, several times a day and my lung infection cleared up. Very cool.
Now my husband and I take these regularly at smaller doses for prevention (along with vit D and other stuff). If needed we up the dose for a day or so but we haven't been ill since.
