they are food based and cover all of your needs. I still take a folic acid and DHA supplement separately - but not sure it is required.
They have not made me sick - when trying a few different vitamins in my first pregnancy, a few made me sick.
I do not take on an empty stomach, so cannot recommend if that would cause sickness or not? Great vitamin and great price!
