I've tried other natural deodorant brands that have been sticky, itchy, and just overall extremely irritating. I love that this one is mildly scented, so it doesn't clash with the natural oil fragrances I wear. Best of all, it's an Aluminum-Free antiperspirant (Desert Essence calls it a wetness inhibitor). I also noticed this one works a lot better than the invisible/no residue brands.

(More customer reviews)I've used Secret's deodorant and antiperspirant for as long as I can remember. I work a hard job that involves tons of sweating and ick, so I always thought I needed something strong.
I'd tried cheaper deodorants before, but they either agitated my skin or just didn't keep the smell away for long.
On a whim while looking for SLS free shampoo and soap, I picked up a bottle of this stuff, not really expecting much. I put it on after a shower, and went off to work with my Secret tucked into my purse on the off chance it didn't work.
Well, I didn't need a back up after all!
It's super comfortable, leaves no sticky feeling, and the smell was lovely - even after the scent wore off, there was no icky smells whatsoever, and it lasted late into the night before I took my bedtime shower.
I will be buying this again!

If you are looking for an alternative to mainstream deoderants then this is it. I can work outside all day in FL and yes I will sweat but I am not stinky at the end of the day. I have only had to reapply once or twice over three years of using "the rock." My wife has had absolutly no complaints either. We think it is wonderful!

(More customer reviews)I was a huge fan of the original formulation of Herbal Clear deodorant, so I was a little skeptical when I saw they were changing the formulation to be PG free. It still works well, but it does not go on nearly as smoothly - a big minus for my very sensitive armpits. The smell is pleasantly clean, as it was with the standard formula, but is a bit stronger and longer-lasting, something I actually do not find appealing. I definitely prefer the old, PG-containing formula and will be stocking up in case they decide to discontinue it. The new packaging of the standard formula appears to be calling the same fragrance "Mountain Air Fresh," for those interested in comparing the two.

To those considering this product due to health concerns about PG, current scientific research indicates that there are no toxicity or carcinogenic risks associated with typical oral or topical exposure. While PG is a derivative of natural gas and may not be the most green ingredient, it is safe to use from a health standpoint.

Crystal essence Deodorant Spray 4 fl oz Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this Chamomile Body Spray, a Crystal - Crystal Stick Body Deodorant, 4.25 oz sticks and a Crystal essence Deodorant Roll-On, Pomegranate 2.25 fl oz. I waited to use them til the next time I showered as the package and many reviewers say explicitly to do so for optimum effectivness. It may sound weird but I put the roll on under one arm and I used the stick, which is odorless, on the other pit. I then sprayed the Chamomile Body Spray on top of that as I like a light scent. I'll give you my experience with both.
The Pomegranate of the Roll-On is a much stronger scent(not a bad smell to me as I like pomegranate scented things) but it does dissapate some as it dries. It also takes slightly longer to dry than the stick version, which takes slightly longer to dry than 'regular' deodorants. I enjoy this product and will use it more for travel since it will require only one bottle for me vs. two, but don't let that deter you, I would recommend it on it's own had I not purchased it with the other! I am very satisfied with how well it works! It's true, it does keep stench away for longer! Where as with typical deodorants I would notice odor before going to bed, with this, I still don't smell even when I wake up in the morning and I like the clean feeling of not having gunk under my pits!
The Body Spray and the Crystal stick are however my favorite. I like the very light scent of this spray and that you can spray just about anywhere on your body! Also being a breastfeeding mom I like that the smell isn't over whelming to my baby & doesn't contain potentially toxic chemicals, she spends a lot of time near my pits for nursing! To use I just run the Crystal stick under the water & then give my pits a quick spray and let it air dry for a minute before putting on my shirt!
I recommend this product to anyone & it's cheaper than other deodorants & given other reviews I expect it to last longer than my store bought deodorants, making it even more cost effective! Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I am currently deployed in Iraq, which as most of you may know tends to get pretty warm in the summer. I have been switching through many different deodorants trying to find one that works in the environment that we are in. I came across a stick of Tom's Lemongrass deodorant in a care package, and thought I might as well give it a shot. It has been the best I have ever tried. It lasts a really long time, has a very fresh, pleasant scent, and best of all is made from all natural ingredients. Being in the medical field, I have seen quite a few soldiers, who in this difficult environment, have developed skin rashes from anti-perspirants, and chemical perfumes in other brands. Though I don't have a stash of Tom's on hand to pass out to them, I have recommended this brand to them (which they can easily purchase on Amazon). Of those that have taken my advice, I have received rave reviews in regards to this product. I definately prefer all natural products to those that contain ingredients that I can't pronounce, much less find in nature. I also am a firm believer in purchasing products made in America, by Americans. I will continue to use Tom's products for as long as they continue to make them.

From time to time, I'll add Secret (very little) so I don't sweat too much and I live in the Caribbean islands. I really don't have the time to reapply in the mid-day. (More customer reviews)I've been using this product for over a year-and-a-half now and absolutely love it. During the first month, my body had to adjust from my aluminum deodorant to this aluminum free one. Aluminum prevents your body from perspiring, which is not a good thing.
This product has a pleasant scent and keeps your body odor at bay for the whole day -- even under heavy exercise. Yes, you will perspire a lot more, but it helps keep your body cool and in balance. To prevent those underarm sweat stains, I wear an undershirt and have no trace of sweat on my dress shirts.

This is the only catch- they do not stop you from sweating, but you run a little water over the mineral salts, and a little bit of it dissolves when do this- then you rub it underneath your arms. It's a smooth surface, and it KILLs all bateria that cause the oder. After a week or two, you will be suprised at the results- I stopped using this product for close to 6 months, and wish I hadn't. I highly recommend these products, but wear a T-shirt for a while if you usually use anti perspirant-

I love the light smell of this deodorant and it keeps me fresh for the whole day. The only problem is when I get really sweaty, like at the gym. It doesn't seem to hold up to that kind of activity. But for normal activity, this one is great. It's also nice to know that I'm not spreading heavy metals on my armpits everyday.
