Nevertheless, I've still dropped 40 lbs, moved to a plant-heavy diet based on the American Institute for Cancer Research's "New American Plate" cookbook (from Amazon), and changed from wimpy store brand vites to mostly Source Nat products.
I picked these after checking out Lyle MacWilliam's "Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements" (also from Amazon). Source Naturals has two products in the top ten evaluated, and Elan Vital is one of them. It seems to have the right balance of ingredients vs. cost, and yes, you can get more stuff crammed into a pill, but you can also pay a LOT more. So far, Amazon and its affiliated sellers have had the best prices.
Will it work? Ask me in 30 years. 8-)
