(More customer reviews)This has minimum 5% ginsenoside content, which is the ingredient you want when you are taking ginseng. Many ginseng pills have much less ginsenoside content, some even at 1 or 2% which is basically useless.
I have done quite a bit of Googling and found that this brand is made of American Ginseng. I am Chinese and have talked to several herbalist. The general belief is that the American Ginseng is more "gentle". You may find higher ginsenoside content, up to 8%, in pills that are made from Korean Red Ginseng. But some herbalist warns against use of red ginseng with older people, or people with heart issues.
I bought this for my 93 year old Grandma. She will not take the Korean Red Ginseng products because she can notice faster heart beat. But she is OK with this product.
