(More customer reviews)The reason for me to try Shatavari was for vaginal dryness/pain and to help balance my hormones, to boost my libido. (I'm 55) It has done both. I've used both Himalaya and Avesta Shatavari. Although, the Himalaya brand seems to be working, I'm switching back to Avesta. Himalaya is a "caplet" which is an oval shape tablet. Himalaya Supplement Facts: 250mg asparagus root extract (50% saponins-125mg & 10% shatavarins-25%)and 400mg asparagus stem and root powder. Avesta Supplement Facts: 500mg asparagus root extract, 40% saponins, in capsule form. The reason I'm switching back to Avesta is becasue I prefer taking capsules and I like the pureness of the ingredients and I can get it through a different supplier for less then through Amazon.
