It has the strong bitter taste Reishi is supposed to have. Without any label information I am unable to discern if this is woodgrown or not but I can tell that this is not the typical ineffectual hothouse Reshi that you can find cheaply almost anywhere. Reishi is THE single most important herbal supplement that supports the three treasures of chinese medicine: Jing, Chi, and Shen. It is very important to acquire Reishi that is grown on it's natural foodsource and in it's natural environment because THESE are the ones which possess treasure.
