(More customer reviews)E-lyte Chlorella is manufactured in the USA. After all my research and extensive online searches, I think it is the cleanest, purest Chlorella I can buy here. I researched numerous websites and decided on this brand because of its purity. Sure, it's a lot more expensive. I think it's worth the price and I'll explain.
This brand of chlorella is grown in completely enclosed continuous glass tubing, within a laboratory-like glass enclosed facility that looks like an enormous glass greenhouse. You can see a similar facility in Klotze, Saxony-Anhalt,Germany at the website, algomed.com. Growing chlorella in this more expensive way eliminates the possibility of air-borne, water-borne, atmospheric borne pollutants (e.g. heavy metals, pesticide residue, pollen, dust particles) which may contaminate the water in open air outdoor ponds, which is where most other chlorella is grown.
I spent a lot of time online, shopping for chlorella (there are dozens of brands on the market). As far as I know the brand, E-lyte Chlorella, is the only chlorella available in the US that is grown indoors in glass tubes. The other brands (from the USA, Japan, and Australia), are chlorella which is grown in outdoor ponds. Although the grower-manufacturers all claim their chlorella is very clean, I had serious questions about purity because outdoor ponds in the open air are open to any air-borne contaminants in the atmosphere. Additionally, even though these outdoor ponds may use filtered water, the water still is in open air ponds.
This E-lyte Chlorella (manufactured in USA) is the purest form I could find that is available in the USA. You can buy the chlorella grown in the facility in Klotze, Germany, but it is prohibitively expensive if you don't live in Europe.
Chlorella grown in glass tubes is much more expensive, of course, because it is grown under such stringest controlled laboratory-like conditions. If you're going to ingest a supplement that cleans toxins from your body, you might as well get something that is pure enough to do the job. I think the purity of this product is worth the high price.
I'm late to the holistic movement. Since I've been studying the subject, I now consider food, nutritional supplements and ingested health aids are all medicines for my body. I try my best to find the cleanest food, nutritional supplements, and anything I ingest. This E-lyte Chlorella is the only one I would trust to remove the lifetime of accumulated junk and toxins from my body.
The Seller I dealt with was exceptional in customer service and answered all my questions about the product. I will purchase this product from them again when I'm ready to re-order.
