(More customer reviews)I take melatonin to get sleepy at night since I'm a lifelong insomniac. Apparently, brand matters because other brands have failed to make me sleepy. Also, I've learned that large doses can actually make my insomnia worse. I've had my best success with the 1mg dose. Of course, everyone is different and trial and error will steer you to your optimal dose. But I'd start with the smallest dose first.
