Bought this at a local health food store and payed twice what they charge here. Overall the product had all the nutrients I was looking for. I was taking Maxine combined with a 1200mcg/800mcg of Calcium/Vitamin D supplement and a daily Vitex supplement comprised everything, I was looking for in the dosages recommended to me to naturally curb my severe PMS. When I managed to take Maxine as part of a regular regimen, I did actually feel better, and my hubby said I was less scary.
Word of warning this supplement smells and tastes very strong. I could not take this on an empty stomach without getting nauseous. Also for the first two weeks my body went through some sort of icky detox/acclamation phase, symptoms: extreme oiliness of the face and scalp which resulted in acne and greasy hair. Everything cleared up and I was actually feeling better than I had in a long time. However when I ran out of Maxine for a month and started up again, I was back to another two weeks of gross oiliness as I re-acclimated yet again. Another note Maxine discolors quickly and the odor get stronger when not stored with it's desiccant in it's glass jar. It made traveling with it in a pill case rough as it stunk up by purse, and became harder to stomach.
In the long run I ended up sticking to the Vitex & Calcium/Vitamin D regimen but I just couldn't keep up with the Maxine.
My recommendation, only take Maxine if you can stay committed to using it on a consistent daily basis. Also you may want to switch to one pill twice a day with food instead of both pills in one shot.
