(More customer reviews)Per Dr. Joel Wallach, DVM and ND, in the highly regarded zoological tome Diseases of Exotic Animals, copper deficiency is indicated externally by kinky white hairs and internally by aneurysms as realized by the turkey farm industry in the 1950s. When they failed to include enough copper in the commercial animal feed the turkeys all died from aneurysms wiping out the turkey supply until they reintroduced adequate amounts of copper back into the commercial turkey feed.
Zinc is known for depleting copper. When we needed to ramp up on zinc we made sure we ramped up on an appropriate amount of copper, as well. This product seems to be a good source of copper at a reasonable price.
