(More customer reviews)Diva cup is the best! The wash, however, caused itching, irritation and made me think it might be the cup. It wasn't. When I switched to castile soap, like Dr. Bronners, to wash the cup, no more itching or irritation. The cup is way beyond 5 stars but I would not use anything but castile soap to wash it since it is worn internally just to be on the safe side. There are all kinds of chemicals in 99% of soaps/body washes. Dr. Bronners is 100% natural and wouldn't irritate.

Diva Cup Diva Cup #1 Pre Childbirth Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using a Keeper, the rubber original version of this device, for nearly three years. It's changed my life for the better in terms of convenience and comfort. The only reason I bought a Diva Cup is because I lost the Keeper while travelling. Otherwise, I believe it would have lasted for a lifetime as advertised. D'oh.
And losing the Diva Cup or Keeper is really the only problem you'll face after you initially learn to use the product (It's easy, and there is a helpful brochure with diagrams included with the Diva Cup.) Now that I've used the Diva Cup, I can say that I prefer it somewhat to the Keeper for two reasons: 1) the silicone Diva Cup doesn't make squeaking noises when I'm trying to insert it, which is an embarassing tendency of the rubber Keeper, and 2) whatever concern was in my mind about developing a latex/rubber sensitivity is gone because I know silicone to be inert and completely harmless in that regard. It would not surprise me if the Diva Cup actually lasted longer than the Keeper (which was beginning to look a little shopworn after three years, though it worked just fine) given the longevity of the other silicone utensils I've owned.
You'll get your money's worth with either product-- you can swim, dance, do cartwheels, and enjoy non-penetrative sex while you're on your period, and you'll eliminate the expense and hassle of disposable products from your life. I wonder why I went through years of annoyance and irritation before I switched-- I just didn't know any better. I'd reccommend the Diva Cup over the Keeper for anyone who is worried about developing or aggravating a latex/rubber sensitivity, and for anyone who's getting tired of causing "squeak SQUEAK squeak squeak" to ring out in a public washroom. Just don't lose it-- I've never been to a physical store where they sold these, so I'd suggest buying two and keeping one in the bathroom cabinet or something.

(More customer reviews)The Instead softcup caught my eye while searching for tampons one night, so I bought some to see what they were like. I really liked the idea behind them, but I thought they were too messy, wasteful, etc. At least tampons will *eventually* decay in landfills. Plastic won't, so to use 5-6 plastic disks a month... I had issues with that. Plus, I have a very heavy cycle, so while I do believe it's possible to use the Instead cup without making a mess, I never achieved it. I had to take a washcloth with me to the bathroom to avoid looking like I'd just violently murdered someone.
So, I did a bit of research and discovered Diva cups. And, WOW! Since they're shaped differently than the Instead, they are easier to use, plus I can remove mine without reenacting the Boston Massacre.
Since I do suffer from mennorghia, I cannot go all day without changing it, but I've bought myself a little bit more time between trips to the ladies' room. I used to use 2 tampons every hour. Now, I just empty this every 2 hours. Lol, I'm starting to feel almost normal!
The menstrual cup is easy to use and comes with complete directions. Instead of being surprised by my period and ruining underwear, when I feel the tell-tale backache, I insert the cup and just check it a couple of times a day. I may actually start buying nice underwear again!

(More customer reviews)These liners are wonderful. They are very soft, absorbant, and durable. They have metal snaps that fasten around the bottom of your panties. Before I purchased these, I was concerned how they would fit and if they would slide around on my panties. Turns out, they fit well and there is very minimal sliding. They also come clean with normal machine washing. I don't put mine in the dryer though; I figure it will extend their lives to air dry.

GladRags The Keeper Review

(More customer reviews)I started using the Keeper Menstrual Cup 9.5 yrs. ago, shortly after the birth of my first child. I had heard of it previously, but was always grossed out by the idea of insertion. However, I got over that quickly and will never go back to using tampons or disposable pads again.
I recently tried a Diva Cup as I figured my Keeper would be ready for the garbage soon (they can be used for about 10 yrs.), but no matter how I try to insert it, it never pops open and I have leaking problems. So I'm back to using my Keeper and will continue to until I have to buy a new one.
I love the environmental, health, and economic benefits of the Keeper, find it very easy to insert and remove, and it's so much more pleasant and convenient than tampons or pads. I rarely ever have leaking problems (I wear a cloth pantiliner just to be on the safe side though) and on the last few days of my period when it is lighter, I can leave it in for 24 hrs. without any problems at all.
