I found this product at a little tiny store. I bought it figuring what the heck. My hair is damaged and a little bit fried. this product gave me shine, it calmed most of my frizzies, and a wonderful subtle scent to go with it. i love this product...the only down side is its a little bit hard to find.

Alba Botanica Sea Lettuce Cleansing Milk Review

This is pure luxury in a facial leanser, with just about every feature once could want. It's gentle (three's no without soap), contains natural, organic ingredient (some of which, including aloe vera, jojoba, and Vitamin E, have medicinal properties), and has a great feeling on the face.
Alba Botanicals managed to make a non-sticky, extremely light cleanser that's no so dilute that it runs off your face. There's a wonderful scent, noticeable but not at all o verpowering. The "milk" name is appropriate, because the creamy (but again, light) lotion, gently rubbed onto a face pre-moisted with warm water, gives you that Cleopatra bathing-in-milk feeling of luxury. Not that I've ever bathed in milk (bubble baths, yes), but this level of comfort is how I imagine it might feel.
You don't leave it on, just gently massage and towel dry. Your face will feel soothed and smoothed, and, of course, clean. Because it's not a moisturizer, your face is not going to feel strong after effects, but it will feel non-oily, smoother, and, if you shave, cooler as well. It's a treat to use, and other Alba Botanicals (e.g., moisturizers) work well also. Cruelty-free, and with organic ingredients, Alba sends you off feeling fresh, and revives you after a long day. The impressive list of ingredients below is from the alba website.Ingredients
Certified organic aloe vera barbadensis and lavender hydrosol (lavandula officinalis), vegetable glycerin, glyceryl stearate, certified organic plant oils of safflower (carthamus tinctorius), jojoba (simmondsia chinensis) and sweet almond (prunus amygdalus dulcis), organic marine complex: dermochlorella (algae), enteromorpha compressa (algae), laminaria digitata (kelp), macrocystis pyrifera (kelp), spirulina maxima (algae) and ulva lactuca (sea lettuce), caprylic/capric triglyceride, shea butter (butyrospermum parkii), sorbitol, NaPCA, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), phenoxyethanol, methyl/propylparaben, grapefruit extract (citrus grandis), botanical fragrance.

Alba Botanica Hair Conditioner Review

I used this product for more than six months during my two year time of using more natural shampoos. First off, this appealed to me because it's paraben-free, pH balanced, and had ingredients that were less harsh than regular grocery store brands. To top it off, the scent to me is very pleasant. Something of a flowery, tropical scent. I would lather twice with a small amount, diluted with water each time, and it cleaned my hair very well and wasn't gummy from hard water the way other natural shampoos can be.
My hair is of a medium texture. Normally I had problems with shampoos causing my hair to fluff up a bit and leave those short new hairs curling all around my head. No problems with Alba. This didn't make my hair flat and it was easy to manage. I had few problems with buildup.
I gave this product four stars because of how well it cleans and the way it leaves my hair manageable and doesn't strip the oils off. As good as it is and as much as I love it I have cystic acne and sensitive skin. During my use of this shampoo, my face (which is normally clear due to Proactiv Solution) continually had breakouts during the entire six months of use. I also kept getting an occasional breakout on the neck, which never happened before. Once I switched to a shampoo of a more chemical variety my face returned to normal within a few weeks. To be sure, I did a few trials of switching to something I knew I wasn't allergic to, and then going back to Alba. I think it might be the nut oils or kelp in the ingredients. I tried it as a body wash as well, but again I happen to have sensitive skin so that didn't work out.
This is a good shampoo for anyone wanting to go more natural with hair product use. It smells great, cleans well, and leaves hair happy. Just be aware if you're sensitive to some plant extracts or oils.
