(More customer reviews)I bought this along with the other natural products recommended in the Blood Pressure Cure book by Robert Kowalski. I experimented with different doses and found that two of these work quite well without the other products. They may still be useful as antioxidants, etc., but two of this product makes a significant difference in my BP such that I take 2 plus 1/4 of my Benicar and have lower BP than with the whole Benicar pill alone. Plus no side effects. The Benicar dose is low enough now that it isn't giving me the horrible side effects I had been experiencing. My BP was extremely high, 186/140, and now it is about 110/70, and even lower if I take the other supplements in Kowalski's book. I cut my Benicar into fourths and take one piece a day with 2 of this brand of L-Algernine (correct dose and time released, which is apparently key). I'm hoping when I lose about 25 pounds, I won't have to take the Benicar at all. For me, it worked almost immediately. My husband tried it and it took a while to see the effects. However, he was still working to get his prescription right, so not sure how that may have effected the results. He takes this now daily, and it is making a difference. I say it is worth a try to be able to get off or lower the dose of the prescription meds.
