(More customer reviews)I am torn with how to review this product, so let me give you the pros and cons as I see them.
Biggest Concern: Safety
I have experienced this issue with no less than 7 bottles during a 6 month period.
The plastic seal on top of the bottle is loose and easy to open. The bigger issue however is the next security layer below the lid. This seal is never in tact, it is always loose or broken.
Given the fact I give these vitamins to my children it is very disconcerting to feed these vitamins to my children without the comfort of the solid protection seal.
The first few times we opened a bottle with the broken seal we took the bottle back and exchanged it for a new one. Eventually it got embarrassing to keep taking it back, so my wife would then take it back so I would not have to. Once she got embarrassed we did not know what to do.
So we finally assumed it was a defect in the product and gave them to our children.
Biggest Reasons We Use Them: Taste, Quality of Ingredients, Variety of Minerals, Kids Love Them!

(More customer reviews)It's chewable and not too hard; it tastes good, though not exactly like "vanilla ice cream". It has a very sweet flavor. The pills are not huge -- only about 1/3 inch across -- unlike some calcium supplements. Every member of our family uses these, both kids and adults.

I wish they would also come in a 500mg version. I am very happy with all the Rainbow Light products I've tried.

And to be honest, they've become the vitamin both my husband and I take (my physician and my OB never had a problem with it, but I don't think they've heard if it's adequate for adults one way or the other). When I was pregnant, I started taking a different brand of gummy vitamins and an extra folate pill (morning sickness got the best of all the adult vitamins, whether pill or chewable, even low-iron). I got hooked and never went back to Centrum! Only complaint is they seem to disappear quickly and thus get pricey (when kid, mom, and now dad are taking them!). Taste better than Flintstone gummies, and about as good as Scooby Doo gummies, but cheaper and with more flavors.

However, after a month long bout of HORRIBLE allergies in my youngest we finally made the connection between seasonal allergies and echinacea!! Echinacea can worsen seasonal allergies as it boosts the immune response. So I recommend this product highly, but be aware it can have a negative effect on some.

(More customer reviews)I reviewed this product before the "improved" version here was introduced. One plus is that Vit D was added but still a poor ca++ supplement:
1. Not USP tested for actual quality (unless I missed that somewhere on the label)
2. Really only 40% of the 200mg per serving is absorbed from the type of calcium used.
Alas I am still looking for a kid supplement for calcium that a kid will take (my daughter also doesn't care for the fruit or choclate chews that have a citrate or carbnate calcium).
I did find one called Yummi bears (?) that looked a little better....But still not exactly what I want.

(More customer reviews)I love the taste of these -- particularly the orange ones. Very creamsicle like. The texture is a little different, but not bad. Much softer and less chewy than a gummy bear.
That said, Vita Fusion makes an adult sized square of these in a jar that are much more cost effective if you are taking them to fulfill an adult requirement and not a kid size. They're called VitaFusion Calcium Gummy Vitamins for Adults.
2 of the squares gives you 1000 vitamin D and 500 mg of calcium.
