(More customer reviews)About an hour since I applied Amazing: Basic Moisturizer on my face! And to my surprise, no stinging!!
I have extremely sensitive dry face skin on my T-zone, cheeks and chin. So I couldn't use products with harsh irritating chemicals normally found in pharmacy stores, and those big cosmetic companies like Olay, Aveeno, Neutrogena and so on. And even this "Avene" labeled for sensitive dry skincare claiming to be extremely gentle on the face... which sadly made my face skin dry up immediately after application and have patches and patches of angry red circles all over my face. Sadly to say, all products I've tried (which are many) gave me the same results.
I've relied on Petroleum Jelly to moisturize my face, and now I believe this natural lotion can put me off the greasy feeling of PJ for good! My skin feels soft, and my dry patches on my face looks a little less angry! And best of all, NO STINGING!!!
"Diazolidynyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Sodium hydroxide, Methylchloroisothiazolinone (and) methylisothiazolinone" listed in the ingredients made me a bit skeptical when I received this product. These chemicals are toxic, and labeled as "safe" when diluted but I'm hoping the % amounts in this product is so little that it will not cause any significant damage.
Although it's still a bit too early to tell if product is THE product for oversensitive skin, I'm willing to be a guinea pig and update this review every Monday for next 3 weeks. (and of course no alterations in my daily routine, except for using this product as directed!)
I'm very excited! I have a good feeling about this product!
