It includes vitamin C, B-12, Folate, and of course just over 150% of your daily value in iron glycinate, which is a much kinder iron to your system, and is much more readily absorbed. All the other goodies they include in there also help build up your iron stores. For those who might have concerns about staying a "regular" person, I'm pleased to say I remain constant as the North Star. (yes, there, I said it). Hey, these are practical concerns when you worry about what an iron supplement is going to do to your system, let alone if you'll get any health benefit out of it. I also recommend reading up on what you should look for when it comes to knowing your iron supplement is working. One thing you will recognize immediately is that this is a capsule with powder in it, NOT a hard tablet, so you know it will dissolve and be available for the body to use quickly. To get that 150%, you only need to take one, but of course, your doctor will tell you how much you need. This one is not going to just be money flushed down the drain. An excellent value, reasonable cost, and I am extremely pleased, as I've tried other iron supplements and have not realized the benefit that I should.
Update from Original Review posted 27Jan11 update 28Mar11: I am pleased to say, I am still realizing great benefits from using this product, including my iron stores continuing to improve, and all the health benefits associated with that. I've also continued to enjoy a delightfully "regular" lifestyle. Still regular, still pleased. Can't say enough about Nature's Bounty Gentle Iron.
