(More customer reviews)Solgar Brewer's Yeast is a nutritional supplement meant to be taken in a quantity of two tablespoons daily. It can be mixed into liquids or other foods, or just consumed straight. The yeast itself is sort of a fine brown powder. The flavor is hard to describe -- it's slightly like the "dust" you get on your fingers from eating cheese doodles -- but I find it tasty. Bear in mind that this stuff is different -- both in texture and nutritional makeup -- from nutritional yeast flakes. The latter, as the name indicates, comes in a flaky form and contains different nutrients and vitamins. I use both of them, because each product has nutrients that the other does not.
