(More customer reviews)After a tonsillectomy, I experienced a condition called dysgeusia where my sense of taste was nearly shot. I went from not being able to taste at all to everything tasting like someone was pouring salt down my mouth. I read the scholarly literature on this common post-tonsillectomy side effect, and a number of studies cited Zinc Sulfate as a method to cure this problem. Well, I've been taking it for about 9 days and my taste is almost back to where it was pre-tonsillectomy. I'm still working on my ability to taste sweet things without distortion but I am back enjoying most of the foods I ate before.
