This is one of the brands of Echinacea that I have used and it has worked. I have also used other brands. Follow the instructions on the bottle. This bottle says 2 caps, 2 times daily, as an OCCASSIONAL dietary supplement.
I think of echinecea as an immune system booster. I ONLY take it when I feel a cold coming on, and ONLY until the cold feels like it is gone. I usually take 2 caps right away and then 1 cap with each of 2 meals per day after that. I usually only take 2 caps a day. Of course, each brand could be different. I read somewhere that you should not take echinecea all the time, but only when you are sick. I don't normally get sick anymore, but when I did, echinecea always worked for me. It either took the cold right away or shortened it to a couple of days. It seemed like it gave my immune system a jump start. I still keep a fresh bottle around for my son or just in case I feel a little "bug" trying to get me. I would not be without it in my herb/vitamin shelf.
This brand says it is gluten free, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, no artificial colors. (Gluten free is very important to those with gluten intolerance.) It is also quality assured by an independent ISO:9001:2000 testing laboratory. (That means the product has passed certain rigid uniform quality standards.)
Always check the bottle for an expiration date, to ensure your herb or vitamin product is fresh.
