In combination with another prescription (antihistamine), this was thought to be less of a heavy-handed, side-effect laden approach than the standard Big Pharmaceutical solution would be.
After one month of this treatment his skin is much better. Obviously I can't say what would have happened if he HADN'T taken Enhance. But I can objectively report that there were no significant side effects. The dosage is large (10 tablets/day for a 70-lb dog, more for humans). The bottle holds 420. But they are easy to give -- we just throw 5 in with each bowl of dog food. They are medium-size pills -- swallowing enough for a human dose might be a bit of a chore!
