I've tried the French Vanilla, and don't like that one as much. It's thinner, less fluffy, and tastes different.
Not sure why but the original flavor actually tastes more like vanilla than the french vanilla does. Go figure.
Also, finding whey protein powder without soy lecithin is a daunting task. I have tried several different brands/varieties of whey protein without soy lecithin, always in search of the best 'pure' whey with no silly ingredients. Well, I'm done shopping around. Bluebonnet Original Flavor wins.
