Roughly five minutes after taking the niacin, my skin began to flush and tingle and it felt like I had a bad sunburn all over my body, needless to say it was a little alarming! After researching around online, I found that this is an extremely common side effect and that this flush is the niacin causing your blood vessels to dilate, which actually produces detoxing of the blood! Online resources say to start out with a lower dose and work you're way up, you should only minimally flush for about 15-30 minutes.
