It was shown to kill seven different strains of h. pylori, the bug responsible for most all ulcers. SO...if your doctor wants to put you on a round of antibiotics for gastritis or ulcers, just say, "No, thanks" and give this a try first.
It's totally benign..it just coats and soothes the stomach and acts as a natural antibiotic. My husband has gastritis..a raw spot in his stomach and his C-reactive protein (CRP), a marker for inflammation, was sky-high until he started taking one mastica daily, then it dropped down to one. For me, it stops acid reflux in seconds.
I can't say enough about Mastica...we are never without it, the same way some people are about aspirin or ibuprofen. It's great.
