(More customer reviews)This is a good tasting protein that is cold processed as to not damage ingredients but then the makers add Carageenan to the mix. Let me say that I am not a scientist, researcher or in the medical field, but in my humble opinion Carageenan is a questionable ingredient due to its POSSIBLE link to gastrointestinal problems and maybe even Cancer. I emailed MRM to see what they said about the ingredient and I received a very timely response to which they basically said Carageenan was safe because they use food grade Carageenan and not the degraded Carageenan, which is linked to GI problems/Cancer and that their food grade Carageenan has been thoroughly studied and proven to be safe.
I must give them credit for EXCELLENT customer service and a very timely response - without this ingredient I think they have a great product.
Regardless, I strongly advise you to do your own research on Carageenan (both degraded and undegraded food grade) if you are considering using any product that contains it.
I am not saying use or don't use this product, all I am saying is that I won't continue using this product and want people to know that they should do their research.
