Rule #1, probably most important: DO NOT follow the recommended dosage.
What?
I said DO NOT FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED DOSAGE.
Why not?
Because...if you do....I don't know if you've ever eaten good, authentic Mexican food or not. I know it's fairly rare in the east and parts of the Northwest. If you've ever gone to California you'll know what I'm talking about, right...well, picture yourself ordering an extra large bean and cheese burrito with guacamole and sour cream. Imagine that with this burrito, you have also purchased a bottle of coconut milk. Imagine also that due to some minor stomach pains you experienced before this meal, you took three of those little chocolate ExLax tablets.
If you don't know what the outcome of that rather explosive combination is, put it like this: it will overturn everything you think you know about body waste. You're taught in school at an early age that liquid waste is for the front, solid waste (feces) is for the back, right...well, you'll expunge more liquids out of your rearside than you thought were in your body. Your stomach will just keep on reacting, and it will be a torrential flood of absolutely epic proportions. This is actually the expected outcome BUT it's unnatural, and quite uncomfortable. If you're bold, you go right on ahead and do the recommended dosage.
OR
You can do what I suggest: take two a day ONLY. This is a lot more palatable and manageable, you'll still get affected but not nearly as severely. It wil make you more consistent, and your restroom breaks will be frequent, but not so frequent as to effect your life. Your stomach will make strange noises, just as a forewarning, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Make sure you take these on a full stomach as it does help somewhat. I will also stress in caps - DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER YOU TAKE THESE. Regardless of dosage you should do this, because you will be dehydrated, especially if you do the bottle's recommended dosage.
The stuff does moderately work, in that you will lose a little weight. But it's not some drastic weight loss secret. Rather it will help your pipes flow more smoothly, keep you regular, and help break the waste down to prevent constipation. Used as a supplement in moderation in conjunction with a good diet, it will help keep you normalized.
