(More customer reviews)Gaining control of some of my immune dysfunctions with probiotics, among others, I researched what else might be out there for immune system boosts. Loads of empirical and anecdotal data and some clinical studies gave colostrum a quick rise to the top in results. The benefits are via cytokines and immunoglobins with bonus anti-microbial features (via lactoferrin) and growth factors/hormones for tissue maintenance, especially gastro-intenstinal.
Seemingly sourced exclusively from cows, I dug in to ferret out something from all the choices available. I have long considered bovine products unfit for human consumption and I was initially dissuaded from adding colostrum to my nutritional regime. But considering it's so refined, some one's formulation would be bought even though something not loaded with additional vitamins, probiotics, etc. was elusive.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover Mt. Capra's goat milk colostrum only powder and ordered it immediately.
As with most supplements this is a long-term project so I can't say, "I was suffering from whatever and now I'm whatever." After two doses a day for ten days I've not had any side effects.
If you think colostrum is something you should try, I think this is the stuff to get. If you're already using a bovine colostrum, maybe you should switch to this.
