I take them just to feel better! And I really, really like the Ultra 40 brand. It's Argentinian beef source gives me a little assurance there aren't a lot of undesirable chemicals or hormones in them. And I especially like that there isn't any other protein (like whey) mixed in. I'm not sure the added B-12 provides any benefit, but since it won't do any harm I don't mind it being in there.
500 tablets seems like a lot, but I take four to six a day (bodybuilders take many more) so it's a reasonable amount per bottle.
It's a good supplement for anybody!
