Anyone who doesn't know, and actually reads this (echinecea on amazon? riiight), echinecea is a powerful immune system booster, and is particuarly good a fighting off flu and colds.
Taking it everyday on a long term basis is a no no if you want it to be effective for this purpose. Taking echinecea when you feel a cold coming on, either completely prevents, or at least cuts down the severity of the cold for me, and from what I know, most people find it works.
It's best just to leave alone sometimes, but if the cold starts at a very inconvenient time (for me, usually when I am already in the middle of med side effects) then echinecea is great.
