(More customer reviews)I have been adding several different items to my weight loss plan and I heard that Spirulina was an excellent way to add engery and a boost to weight loss. While I cannot say that this made me lose too much weight, I can say that it did add a fabulous amount of energy. The recommended dosage per day is 6 tablets however, after speaking with a doctor about this, the amount of Vitamin A that you get from that dosage exceeds the safe maximum amount one should consume in a day. The max amount should be 10,500IU for men or women and the amount you get from the 6 tablets is 12,500ish. So I decided to just take 4 a day. 2 in the A.M and then 2 more 2-3 hours later for sustained energy. I would not recommend taking these mid afternoon at all. These things kept me awake all night when I took it and 4pm and went to bed at 8pm. This is however a fantastic superfood, while smelly, just hold your breath and dont smell the inside of the bottle. This is algae after all.
