(More customer reviews)I purchased these because of concern about possible mercury content reported in the DHA supplements derived from fish oil. This is a supplement for brain and eye development, so why take the chance of mercury?
My two year old daughter and three year old son love the taste. In fact, these are sometimes used as rewards to get them to eat dinner. They will gladly eat several broccoli sprigs, spinach spanikopita, or some carrots in order to receive one, little DHA ball.
We give our younger daughter up to two per day with meals, and our three year old son up to three per day with meals per the instructions.
So far, their brains have not grown to enormous proportions, so I'm not sure if DHA really helps kids or not.
The problem: The company that ships these via the Amazon website is really slow to process the orders, then ships them via USPS. For anyone who is Amazon Prime and accustomed to the great shipping terms, this will seem like it takes forever. It has been TWO WEEKS since I placed an order, and the bottles have not yet arrived. It took the company until February 15th to process and notify me of shipment for an order placed on February 4th. Now, the Post Office has it ... oh boy ;(
