Thanks, Dr. Mercola, for helping me to get my Vitamin D3 supplement without having to choke on softgels. I have problems swallowing tablets, softgels, and big capsules (which means I often don't take supplements as regularly as I should), and I refuse using anything bad-tasting (which eliminates quite a few of the liquid supplements, especially those containing artificial sweeteners). None of those worries with this convenient and tasty sublingual spray form of Vitamin D3.
NOTE: Since becoming plagued by numerous chemical intolerances, my allergies seem to increase by the day, and I react to just about anything. I thought I would mention the following for any other highly-reactive individuals. Mercola's Sunshine Vit D3 spray bottle's "Supplement Facts" states "Serving Size 6 sprays" (1 spray = 1000 IU.) First time taking, I took 6 sprays and within a minute came down with a splitting headache that lasted several hours. The next few days I proceeded more cautiously and found that I was able to take 3 sprays at a time without getting the headache.
My allergist & chemical intolerance doctor said the headache did not come from the amount of D3, but from one of the other ingredients in the spray to which I must be allergic (probably the potassium sorbate). I tested it by trying 5000 IU all at once of Vitamin Shoppe's Vitamin D3 liquid drops (an even better deal economically, has a very pleasant taste, and even more importantly--it has no preservatives or other common allergens). I should, and will, do a review of that brand soon, since it works better for me than Mercola's D3 spray. All in all, I feel lucky to have found Vitamin Shoppe's D3 liquid drops AND Mercola's Sunshine spray.
